SOUNDWANDERING SOUND BATH
I offer Soundwandering Sound Bath as a full-body sound-healing practice with intentions of peace, love, and healing.
You are invited to relax in a comfortable and supported position, and allow resonant and immersive sounds to wash over and through your body and mind. Just as a bath immerses you in water, a sound bath immerses you in sound and vibration.
Relaxation triggers the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system. It is an opportunity for you to slow down, rest, recharge, get quiet, and wander freely with the sound, without needing to consciously respond or react.
Soundwandering involves minimal guidance, and is an uncommon opportunity to let go of effort and agendas.
Many feel profoundly relaxed and experience health benefits after a sound bath. You may notice increased well-being and relaxation, deeper sleep, expanded awareness, and access to inner visionary experience, along with reduced anxiety, tension, fatigue, depression, pain, and negative emotions.
I use crystal singing bowls, Himalayan brass bowls, gongs, tuning forks, chimes, rattles, rain sticks, drums, voice, and more. The non-musical nature of the sound interrupts your mind’s expectation for repetition and melody. I may also offer very gentle or restorative yoga, or a short meditation (always optional).
Please keep in mind that sound baths may not be suitable for people who have a concussion or brain injury, find intense sounds stressful or overstimulating, have migraines with noise triggers, or have a hearing aid, as the experience may be uncomfortable. People with mental health conditions may want to speak with a doctor before trying a sound bath, as it can bring up intense feelings.

Engage in the radical act of doing less! This event features guided meditation and restorative yoga, followed by reclined immersion in an extended energy healing sound bath with crystal singing bowls, brass bowls, gongs, and many other instruments.
We begin with a guided meditation/body scan to relax the body. We then come into a few restorative poses, using props for support and comfort, along with various relaxing sounds such as chimes or the ocean drum. Then students may recline comfortably to experience the sounds and vibrations of an extended sound bath.
The deep relaxation found in restorative yoga and sound baths stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest). Jennifer intends this experience to be healing to your body, mind, and spirit.
No experience with yoga is needed, and everyone is welcome to participate in the yoga (or just rest) as much or as little as they are comfortable with.

Allow yourself to sink into a relaxed state of restoration and recovery as you experience the peace and healing vibrations of the magnificent gong!
The number 108 is sacred in many spiritual traditions. Everything in the universe - from the Earth to the objects around us to our human bodies - is made up of energy and vibrational frequencies. Vibrational instruments like the gong can help to balance these frequencies to help cultivate harmony and well-being as the powerful vibrations spread through our bodies, providing a delicate internal massage of all the way down to our cells.
We’ll start with a few minutes of gentle stretches to prepare the body for relaxation. Then, recline and take in the vibrations as Jennifer invites our large and beautiful symphonic gong to sound 108 times. We’ll then enjoy a brief rest or seated meditation.
Sound baths may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions, including sound-induced epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, or serious mental health issues. Always consult your doctor before attending a sound bath if you have any concern about this.

Start your weekend right! Let your cares drift away and return to yourself as you are immersed in a Soundwandering Sound Bath, a full-body sound-healing practice for relaxation and healing.
Relaxation triggers the parasympathetic (rest & digest) nervous system. It is an opportunity for you to slow down, rest, recharge, get quiet, and wander freely with the sound, without needing to consciously respond or react. Allow yourself to wander through the sounds and vibrations. Who knows what you will find? Sound baths are often very relaxing, and can sometimes even shake you up a little. Wandering involves letting go of agendas and goals, and instead simply experiencing the journey. Wander freely, riding the sounds where they take you.

Restorative yoga helps to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for relaxing and recuperating, reducing the stress response, and increasing positive emotions. This practice is designed to refresh the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind.
Our restorative yoga class begins with a gentle series of calm, flowing postures designed to warm the muscles and prepare the mind and body to unwind, followed by restorative poses to help the practitioner relax. Props are used to support the postures, while gently stretching and relaxing the body.
The class has alternating teachers. Jennifer’s class includes beautiful singing bowls, chimes, and other healing sounds throughout the restorative practice.
